Brad Pitt turned heads in Huntington Beach last week. He was there filming a scene for “The Adventures of Cliff Booth.” This follows up on his role from “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” David Fincher directed the shoot. Quentin Tarantino wrote the script but passed on directing.

The production set up at Bolsa Chica Beach near Tower 17. It ran for about a week. Crews blocked off parking and built barriers with orange fencing between Towers 17 and 18. They dug paths in the sand for camera tracks using heavy equipment. Security kept watch as the team prepared.

Local Jen Garza spotted the activity early on. She noted the lot half-closed when she arrived Monday morning. Word spread fast among beachgoers that it involved Pitt. Garza said: “Excitement woofed across the beach, as the process unfolded.” She watched the setup grow over days, leading to a one-day shoot.

Others chimed in on social media. One Instagram user posted: “Brad Pitt at Bolsa! Brad is seen shooting the film ‘The Adventures of Cliff Booth’ set in 1977.” Another shared: “Filming ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 2’ here in HB at Bolsa Chica state beach. Brad Pitt & Scott Caan.” A third mentioned seeing Pitt during a sunset walk.

Surfers dealt with longer walks to the water. But the star sighting eased complaints. Garza tried for an autograph but settled for photos of Pitt, Scott Caan, and Fincher. She called it a memorable event at her favorite spot, with the oil rig and lifeguard HQ in the background.

Filming started in Los Angeles back in July. This coastal stop added a beach vibe to the story. The movie explores more of Booth’s life as a Hollywood fixer in the 1970s. Locals got a front-row view despite the disruptions.
